Stockton Arts Commission

Mission Statement

Stockton Arts Commission is the arts advocacy agency of the City of Stockton.  It serves as a catalyst to support, sustain, and strengthen the community by increasing awareness, opportunities, and involvement in arts and cultural activities.

The Stockton Arts Commission was founded by Marian Jacobs and a group of local arts supporters in the mid 1970's.The Commission operates within the City's Community Service Department and business is conducted by the arts director and a 16 member volunteer commission appointed by the Mayor and City Council.
