Downtown Stockton - On the Water



The Stockton Events Center includes the Stockton Arena, Stockton Ballpark, 7-story parking structure, Sheraton Stockton Hotel (with condominiums and conference facilities - currently under construction), restaurant and retail opportunities.

Completed Waterfront Projects

The ArenaPhoto of the ballpark

Waterfront development includes construction of a new multi-purpose arena. This arena will accommodate various sporting events, concerts and conventions.

The Arena is home to the California Cougars Major Indoor League Soccer Team, Stockton Thunder Minor League Hockey Team, and Stockton Lightning Arena2 Football Team.

The Stockton BallparkPhoto of the ballpark


This home to the Stockton Ports. The Stockton Ballpark opened to a packed-house on Thursday, April 28, 2005. The Ballpark opened just 377 calendar days from the groundbreaking ceremony, which took place on April 17, 2004. See photos of the Stockton Ballpark!

To compliment this new construction, a first-rate hotel on the north shore is planned for the Stockton channel.

Additional development along the waterfront may also include a residential project being proposed by the Grupe Company.

Weber Point Pedestrian Bridge
Location of prposed pedestrian bridge Discussions are underway to construct pedestrian bridges that would pedestrian access between Weber Avenue, Weber Point and the Stockton Events Center.

Marina
marina renditionThe City of Stockton has commenced efforts to construct a new, first class marina on the downtown waterfront. The project is currently in the design stage and is anticipated to include full service slips, dry storage facility, ample guest/day docks, restrooms and various other amenities that would provide a destination marina for Stockton residents and visitors alike. Construction of the marina is expected to begin in 2008. The Morelli Park Boat Launch Facility reconstruction is complete.
