Thanksgiving Turkeys for Our Troops |
Two hundred and fifty people, children and adults, created paper turkeys for our troops. Through this project volunteers are able to show our troops fighting in Iraq how thankful they are for their service, by sending them turkeys for Thanksgiving. Turkeys were designed by students at Franklin High School, Don Riggio Elementary School, and by visitors of the American Legion Karl Ross Post #16 at 2020 Plymouth Road in Stockton. Vice Mayor Gary Giovanetti gave his time and talent to create a special turkey, with a message of support from the Stockton City Council.... |

All of the turkeys were sent to our troops in Iraq in time to reach them for Thanksgiving.
