Tokay High School Students Learn CERT Awareness

On May 25, 2006, five students representing Tokay High School were selected to go through the City of Stockton's Teen CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Awareness Program, conducted by Stockton Fire.  The training is part of a mutual agreement with San Joaquin County OES (Office of Emergency Services) and City of Stockton Fire & Office of Service and Volunteerism to share Stockton’s CERT model.

Stockton's Teen CERT Awareness instruction includes an awareness level of disaster preparedness, CERT, and Weapons of Mass Destruction.  These five Tokay High students will share what they learned to encourage other youth to get involved in citizen disaster preparedness.
