The most successful clean-up to date resulted in the removal of 4 tons of garbage (items of interest included: 3 additional abated boats, 2 docks, appliances, sofa/chairs, mattresses, furniture frames, a TV, car batteries, tires/rims and shopping carts). |

Randy Norman, from Friends of Smith Canal coordinated project with City and County Staff.
Clean up was staffed by: 60 volunteers, 18 City Staff, 1 County Staff, 9 AWP workers and 6 California Conservation Corp workers.
City Staff included 2 tree crews, 2 AWP crews, MUD, Code Enforcement staff, City Manager Staff and Lt. Smallie.
