Reporting Problems

To report a water, sewer or stormwater problem, please call us at (209) 937-8341, including weekends and holidays. Broken pipes, street flooding, sewer backups, illegal dumping and water leaks are emergencies and should be reported via phone. Concerns or questions submitted via Ask Stockton are monitored during regular City business hours and should not be used to report water emergencies.

Sewer

If your sewer system clogs or backs up, the problem may not be in sewer line at your home or business. Call us at (209) 937-8341 before calling a plumber. Our service crews will determine the location of the problem.

Storm Drains

Clogged storm drains can cause street flooding and traffic hazards.

• Please keep storm drains clear of debris.
• Sweep and dispose of leaves and garden debris according to City residential garbage collection services.

If the drains get clogged during a storm and your street and gutter begin to flood, call us at (209) 937-8341. We will send a crew to clear the storm drain as quickly as possible.

Water Leaks or Broken Pipes

Please report water leaking into the gutter or street to the City's 24-Hour Emergency Service Center at (209) 937-8341.

Illegal Dumping

Contact Us to report anything other than rain water flowing into the gutter or storm drain system.

The storm drain system carries stormwater and anything else in its path into local waterways without being treated.

Missing or Broken Manhole Covers

The City replaces missing maintenance hole covers, and repairs broken covers. Contact Us to report missing or broken utility box covers to prevent injuries.

Water Waste

Report water waste by calling our Water Conservation Hotline. Visit www.stocktonca.gov/SaveWater for more information.
