Youth Activities & Cadet Program

The Stockton Police Youth Activities (SPYA) is a non-profit organization fully supported by Stockton Police Officers, who volunteer their time.  Incorporated since 1971, the SPYA has flourished due to the commitment of the volunteer police officers to provide leadership and community service.  The SPYA sponsors several programs designed to provide Stockton's youth with helpful life skills.

Stockton Police Junior Cadet Program

Over the past 40 years, Junior Cadets have worked with sworn and non-sworn personnel at events such as National Night Out, Stockton Police K-9 Trials, San Joaquin County Fair, and a variety of parades and festivals. As the Stockton Police Department embraces procedural justice, we strive to continue developing positive relationships with the youth in our community.  This program helps young adults develop responsibility, trust, teamwork, and other leadership characteristics and possibly become future Police Officers.
