Redevelopment is an exciting tool that helps cites keep property tax money for local projects that would otherwise go to the State.

Stockton has made good use of redevelopment funding in the past and continues to strive to improve our community with redevelopment dollars.

Project Areas

 

Through the redevelopment process, designated project areas receive focused attention and financial investment to reverse deteriorating trends, create jobs, revitalize the business climate, rehabilitate and add to the housing stock, and gain active participation and investment by citizens that would not otherwise occur.
