Rate Discounts

 

Senior (65 and over) and disabled residents may be eligible to receive discounted rates for garbage and recycling services. To receive any applicable discount, you must meet specific requirements as detailed below.

Important Program Notes:

  1. To be eligible for a discount, the service address must be located within Stockton city limits; and,
  2. To apply for any of the discounts listed below, contact Utility Billing at (209) 937-8295 or via e-mail at admin.services@ci.stockton.ca.us.

 

Senior Discount


If you are 65 and over, you are eligible to receive a 10% discount off of regular garbage service rates. Proof of age is required.

 

Seniors Below Median Income (SBMI) Discount


Seniors 65 and over and below median income (annual income below $35,483) are eligible to receive an additional 10% discount - for a total discount of 20% - off of regular garbage service rates.

To receive the SBMI discount, you must apply and be approved for it.

Disabled Low Income (DLI) Discount


Residents who are disabled and below median income (annual income below $35,483) are eligible to receive a 10% discount off of regular garbage service rates.

The DLI discount will be administered through the City of Stockton. To receive the DLI discount, you must apply and be approved for it.
