The City’s contract with your garbage company allows for an automatic annual rate adjustment each June 1. The adjustment equals 50% of the change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over a one year period. In conformance with this contract provision, the garbage rates will increase by 1.806% effective June 1, 2009. The increase in commercial rates is shown below.
