Residents are responsible for leaves that fall on their property and the sidewalk bordering the property. These leaves may be placed in the 90-gallon green waste cart for weekly pick up. Leaves that fall in the street will be collected by street sweepers every other week during leaf season. Residents can no longer rake, blow, or pile leaves in the street for collection.

Because all green waste must be containerized, the City and garbage companies have created a list of helpful tips to assist residents manage their leaves during Leaf Season (October 1st through December 31st),

Tips for Managing Leaf Season (pdf)

In addition, during Leaf Season only, your service provider will collect up to (5) additional bags of leaves at no additional charge. Just place the bagged leaves next to your green waste cart on your regular service day. Extra Service stickers are not required for bagged leaves.

With everyone's cooperation, our City and Delta waterways will see a cleaner future!

To ensure collection, carts must at the curb before 5:00 am on the day of collection. (Per the Stockton Municipal Code, carts may be set out after 6:00 p.m. the day before garbage collection.)

Residents should contact their service provider directly for any missed service.
