Stockton is rich in cultural diversity and offers a "little something" for everyone. Stocktonians have the opportunity to enjoy theater productions, the symphony, museums, live musical performances, or attend festivals year round.

Museums

The City of Stockton is home to several museums.

    If it's music you prefer, then you will enjoy listening to performances by the Stockton Symphony, Stockton Chorale, and Stockton Opera Association.

    And, of course, don't forget the historic Bob Hope Theatre which features quality live entertainment and special events, with top artists such as Ray Charles, Jewel, Manhattan Transfer, Natalie Cole, and Kenny Loggins.

    Festivals and the Fair
    Photo of asparagusThe Stockton Asparagus Festival is the biggest festival in San Joaquin County, drawing well over 100,000 people to this weekend event. Held in April, the Asparagus Festival is a celebration of the local asparagus harvest and is used as a fundraiser for participating local nonprofit organizations. Entertainment, music, crafts and delicious asparagus dishes combine to make this a sensational annual event.

    In addition to the numerous festivals, the San Joaquin County Fair is held every summer over a two week period at the fairgrounds in Stockton. Top country, rock, pop, and oldies musical groups headline each night of the fair along with the rides, food, livestock, and pig races.

    The Weber Point Events Center was designed specifically for open air events and includes special features such as a Great Circle, Plaza, Waterfront Promenade, Point Amphitheater, and Main Stage with Shade Structure.
