The Public Works Administration Division plans, develops and coordinates the functions of the Public Works Department.
Administration staff also monitors federal and state legislation.
Some of the fiscal responsibilities include monitoring expenditures, preparing requisitions, mileage reports, authorizations for payment, travel requests, billing memos, progress/contract payments, and contract change orders. Administration staff coordinates and schedules training for department personnel.
Administration is responsible for the preparation of Public Works contract specifications and the entire process, which includes preparing for Council approval, sending the specifications to applicable contractors and builders' exchanges, and preparing project letters of clarification.
