As an Officer with the Stockton Police Department, you will patrol assigned areas to ensure the security of life and property. You will enforce state, local, and federal laws and ordinances; restore order; protect life; and maintain peace in our community. Stockton Police Officers are certified through the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).

The Stockton Police Department is now accepting POST "T" scores. Documented scores of 44 or higher earned from other agencies/academies within the past 12 months will validate the written test.
