Officer Sonia Diaz

Officer Diaz joined the Stockton Police Department in 2002. For the first three years of her career, she was assigned to Patrol in south Stockton. The following year, she worked as a Seaport District Community Police Officer building a proactive partnership with community members and organizations to identify and solve problems. For the past year, she has been assigned to Personnel and Training as a Recruiter for the Department which includes overseeing the Alameda County
Police Academy. Officer Diaz currently services as a Field Training Officer and on the Critical Investigations Team.

Officer Donavan McCoy

Officer McCoy started his career as an MP in the US Army XVIII Airborne Corps in Fort Bragg, NC. He worked as a Police Officer in Idaho for 10 years and came to Stockton PD in 1989. His assignments included, Patrol, Field Training Officer (FTO), SWAT, K-9, Burglary Detective, Hi-Tech Crimes, DARE Officer and High School Resource. Officer McCoy oversees recruits in the Sacramento Academies.
Officer Ryan Benton

Officer Benton joined the Stockton Police Department in 1999. During that time, Officer Benton has spent most of his time in patrol, patrolling south Stockton (Park and Seaport Districts). Officer Benton's assignments have included, Patrol, Field Training Officer (FTO), Community Police Officer (CPO), Auto-Theft, EVOC Instructor, Honor Guard and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD). As of this year, Officer Benton is working in the Personnel & Training office. Officer Benton oversees recruits in the Modesto Academy.
