Alarm Fee Schedule
- Failure
to Respond to an Alarm Within 20 Minutes
A $72.00 service fee will be charged each time a keyholder
fails to respond to the alarm location within 20 minutes of
notification.
- Direct
Activation of an Alarm
A $76.00 service fee will be charged for each false
alarm directly activated by an alarm user when an emergency
condition does not exist. For the purpose of the alarm ordinance,
an "emergency situation" is defined as "the
commission of a felony." Whenever possible, citizens
should call 9-1-1 instead of using robbery and panic alarms.
However, citizens should never hesitate to use the robbery/panic
alarm when a felony act is being committed and it is not possible
to safely call 9-1-1.
- Excessive
False Alarms
Alarm users will be charged $76.00 for each false alarm
in excess of three in any consecutive 90-day period.
