Stockton
Police Department - Community Policing - Bear Creek District
A
message from the Bear Creek District Commander
Lieutenant Anthony Restuccia
The
Bear Creek District was created in October 2004 to meet the needs of
the rapidly-growing community in northwest Stockton. Bear Creek
District's geographical borders are generally to the north at Eight
Mile Road, south at Hammer Lane, east at the Union Pacific Railroad
tracks, and west to the city limits. For a map
of the Bear Creek and other districts, click here.
The
Bear Creek District includes many new housing and commercial development
projects recently built on both the west and east sides of Interstate
5. The Bear Creek District was created to help address the demands
of current and future growth in this area.
Police personnel assigned to the Bear Creek District operate under
the philosophy and strategy of Community Oriented Policing and Problem
Solving. This requires Police personnel to form partnerships with the
citizens they serve in an attempt to identify the substantive problems
that negatively impact the overall quality of life in their community.
Police personnel are then challenged to arrive at a solution by innovative
thinking and utilizing all of the many resources available to them.
All Bear Creek District Police personnel are committed to providing
the community with the highest level of service possible.
