Stockton Police Department - Crime Free Multi-Housing Program

This program is solution-oriented and designed to be easy, yet very effective in reducing the incidence of crime on rental property.  The program utilizes a three-part approach which ensures the crime prevention goal while maintaining a tenant-friendly approach. Phase One involves an eight-hour seminar presented by the Stockton Police Department and rental experts.  Topics include tenant screening, crime prevention, evictions, and drug and gang activity recognition.

Phase Two will certify that the rental property has met the security requirements for the tenants’ safety by utilizing the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Survey (CPTED). 

Phase Three is the last required training segment.  A Resident Safety Social is conducted on the property site.  Residents are informed of the program, its benefits and crime prevention methods.
