The Stockton Police Department is dedicated to making a difference in our community. The Department is comprised of over 400 sworn Officers and over 200 civilian personnel. Working as a Police Officer in Stockton is very rewarding and offers a variety of opportunities.

As an Officer with the Stockton Police Department, you will patrol assigned areas to ensure the security of life and property. You will enforce state, local, and federal laws and ordinances; restore order; protect life; and maintain peace in our community. Stockton Police Officers are certified through the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).
