Stockton Police Officer Dan Grauman, United States Marine Active Duty
I served under the current commandant of the Marine Corps, General Hagee. I was attached to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, G-7 Battle Simulations Center, and Camp Pendleton California.
I specialized in Warfare Simulation and Special Mission Tactics. I also received training in Close Quarters Combat, Aggressor Tactics, and Reconnaissance.
I chose to work in Stockton because I knew I would never be bored at work. The experience you get from working in a place like Stockton is invaluable. The Stockton Police Department spends a lot of money making sure their Officers have all the latest and best equipment available. As opposed to working in a smaller town where you might not get the variety of calls that you get here in Stockton, working here definitely keeps you on your toes. Stockton is an exciting city to work in. The pay is good and people that work at this Department are great. There are also a lot of former and current military members that work for our Department. I have found that the city of Stockton offers many recreational activities you can take advantage of during your off time. In Stockton we have professional baseball, hockey, arena football, and indoor soccer teams just to name a few. Stockton is a fun and exciting city to work in; I can't believe they pay me to do what I do. The Stockton Police Department is dedicated to making a difference in our community. The Department is comprised of over 400 sworn Officers and over 200 civilian personnel. Working as a Police Officer in Stockton is very rewarding and offers a variety of opportunities.
