National Kids Day Celebration
at Martin Luther King Plaza
Downtown Stockton,
across from City Hall
An estimated 2,000 people attended Stockton's first Kids Day Celebration.

Seventeen of them won $100 gift certificates for back-to-school clothes. One family won the grand prize of $300 in certificates from Target, Wal-Mart and Dillards.

The fun included clowns, games and a pie-eating contest!
In addition to a challenging pie-eating contest, kids enjoyed face-painting and had a chance to make a video tape I.D.
Fun and games included an old-fashioned sack race!
