Silver Lake Youth Camp

Silver Lake Youth Camp members at the beach.NEW DATES IN 2008!

Silver Lake Youth Camp will be offered in two sessions during June 2008.

Get your child's summer off to a good start - an exciting, unique summer camp experience awaits you at Silver Lake!

Youth camp is designed for boys and girls ages 9-13 years. Youth camps provide an affordable opportunity to experience camping in the El Dorado National Forest.

Two June camp sessions are scheduled:

  • Friday, June 13, through Monday, June 16, 2008
  • Monday, June 16 through Thursday, June 19, 2008

Camps are $138 per session and include bus transportation to and from camp, lodging, meals and all camp activities.

This forest camping experience provides many opportunities for youth to grow - physically, creatively, intellectually and socially.  Campers stay in groups of four in each cabin.  Children are supervised by trained staff members and counselors at a 1:4 ratio.

Registration is accepted in person at Stockton Parks and Recreation, 6 E. Lindsay Street, or at your local City of Stockton community center. Registration forms are available here and at Stockton Parks and Recreation locations.

For information on the Silver Lake Summer Youth Camps, call (209) 937-8293.

Transportation
Transportation is included. Please limit camper's luggage to one bag for clothing, a bag for bedding or sleeping bag, and a pillow.

Campers take part in a variety of supervised activities including, but not limited to, archery, climbing wall, hiking, arts and crafts, organized games, nightly campfires and supervised free time to explore the great outdoors.

Special emphasis is placed on learning camper skills, respect for the outdoors, cultural backgrounds, and teamwork.
