PRESENTLY FUNDED

Baxter Park Phase II - (4.5 acres)

Corner of Muir Woods and Lonnie Beck Way

  • Construction contract awarded July 22, 2008
  • Anticipated start of construction by October 15, 2008

Detention Basin Soccer Complex - (34 acres)

Highway 99 West Frontage Road, north of Mosher Slough

  • Bids opened October 4, 2007
  • Project is 85% complete
  • Anticipated opening in summer 2010 (allows for extended turf establishment period in anticipation of future high use demand)

Faklis Community Park - (16 acres)

Corner of Cosumnes Drive and Mokelumne Circle

  • Bids opened June 21, 2007
  • Construction started in September 2007
  • Anticipated opening in December 2008
Barkleyville Dog Park - (3 acres)
  • Opened May 31, 2008

*Stockton Community Services (formerly Parks and Recreation) is looking for individuals interested in being a part of the Off Leash Dog Park Alliance of Stockton (OLDPALS). The "friends" group will offer stakeholders the opportunity to be involved in planning special events at the Barkleyville Dog Park and supporting ongoing projects and site maintenance.  Interested dog lovers may write to Sue Christy or call (209) 937-8361.

Iloilo Neighborhood Park - (6 acres)

Scott Creek Drive adjacent to Manilo Silva Elementary School

  • Construction started in October 2007
  • Project is complete and under final contractor maintenance period
  • Anticipated opening in November 2008

Louis Park Boat Launch Renovation

  • Closed for public use through December 2008
