Welcome to the official 2010 Recreation Swim League website.  The City of Stockton's Aquatics Division is committed to increasing the ability to grow the sport of swimming throughout the City and surrounding areas.   

 

The first official 2010 Swim League Meeting will be held on March 23 at 6 p.m. at the Oak Park Senior Center.

The Recreation Swim League is comprised of homeowner association pools and private membership clubs from throughout Stockton, and the city-sponsored Blue Dolphins Swim Club.

If you belong to an association or club, contact your swim pool representative to register for a team. If you do not belong to one of these you may join the Blue Dolphins when they register each spring. The league is governed by the Recreation Swim League Councils.

Each of the teams holds practices under the direction of their individual coaches. A season swim meet schedule is distributed to all teams and the City Championship Meet is held at the end of the season.

The following homeowners' association pools are members of this league: Amblers' Club, Belmont, Brookside West, Colonial Heights, Country Club, Lincoln 1 & 5, Lincoln Village West, Linden, Mallards of Brookside, North Lake, Parks Woods, Quail Lakes, Riverton, Stonewood Estates andVillage Oaks.

Blue Dolphins Swim Team

Photo of Practice meet for the Blue Dolphins.Swimmers ages 4-18 can tryout and join the City Swim Team. The team will compete in six meets, ending with the City Championship Swim Meet.

There will be dry land activities, so please bring running shoes to each practice.

Prerequisites: 50 yards front crawl, then 25 yards your choice breaststroke and backstroke. Space will be limited to returning swimmers first and those who meet age group limits.

Returning Swimmer Registration ONLY:

May 25 and 26, 2010 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Oak Park Pool

This will be first come, first serve basis. 

NEW Swimmer Open Registration and tryouts:

May 27 and 28, 2010 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Oak Park Pool

Those swimmer who do not pass the pre-requisites or register after the team has reached its capacity will be directed to swim lessons to further skills.

Blue Dolphins official practices will start June 1 at 6 p.m. Practices will be held Tuesday-Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.


City Championship Swim Meet
The Recreation Swim League City Championship swim meet for private and homeowner association teams and Blue Dolphins was held July 17-18, 2010 at St. Mary's High School. We are expecting approximately 1000 young swimmers to compete in this two day event and look forward to another successful event.
