Babysitter Certification Course

(Ages 12 and up)  Want to learn more about caring for children?  Course includes CPR certification, first aid, dealing with emergencies, sick children, indoor and outdoor safety, basic children development and skills for entertaining young children.  Participants also learn how to write a resume' and how to find babysitting jobs!  Course certificate and CPR card available upon successful completion.

Education To Go: Online Classes

These online courses are fun and highly interactive. Plus, if you have Internet access, you don't have to leave home to attend! Discover opportunities to interact not only with your instructor, but also with your fellow students – each of whom shares a common interest in the course subject matter.

Every course we offer has been carefully engineered to provide you with quick and easy access to all your course materials – no matter what type of computer you use or how slow your Internet connection is.

Most courses are eight weeks long. Courses include multiple quizzes, assignments, exams, demonstrations, and exercises, giving you the hands-on, practical experience you’ll need. Classes begin on the third Wednesday of each month.

  2. Select the course(s) you would like to take.
  3. Register online using your credit card, or fill out the registration form and mail or bring with payment to the Parks and Recreation Office, 6 E. Lindsay Street, Stockton 95202, then go to your online orientation and class.


Tutoring Classes

Your school age child can have better grades with help from The Learning Game Tutors.  Every student enrolling in this program is evaluated and then special lesson plans are created to meet individual needs.  Subjects include Math Skills, Reading Skills and Writing Skills.  Class meets twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Register and then call The Learning Game at 1(800)675-4263 to schedule an evaluation.
