Ballet Folklorico Raices Mexicanas

All ages are welcome in this free class taught by Maria Valdovinos. No experience is necessary.

Beginning Ballet

Ages 6-12 learning basic ballet with instructor Beverly Burke-Baker.

Cheer Pom and Dance Team

By Central Valley Pom and Dance. This is a fun way for children to receive dance technique lessons and perform at Stockton sporting and community events. Participants will also compete at local Pom/Dance competition. Payment includes practice sessions and competition fees. Practice times are by age group. Practice attire: workout clothes and tennis shoes (no leotards or tights). Pom poms are provided during practice. Performance attire: cheer/dance uniforms are provided for performances and must be returned.

Hip Hop Dance

Ages 5-12 learn different techniques and methods of ever-evolving Hip Hop dance style. Students train on a level to perform and execute choreography with Ordered Steps Dance Company Director Curtis Campbell.

Mexican Ballet Folkloric Dance

This fun and energetic class is offered by Doria Del Rio, who has over 12 years of experience in Mexican folk dance. Learn how to coordinate footwork, skirt work, and choreography. First graders and older. Must have shoes and practice skirt by end of first month in class.

Pre-School Dance

Increase physical activity, social skills and rhythm through dance. Ages 3-5 learn beginning steps of dance, including ballet, tap and jazz, from Beverly Burke-Baker.

Tap for Tiny Tots

This class includes basic tap dancing and singing for three and four year-olds. The five-week sessions will end with a performance. Costumes will be provided; tap shoes are available at local store. Enrollment is limited to ten students; sign up early! Instructor: Susan Sixkiller.

Adult and Teen Dance Classes

Afro Jazz Dance

Students learn a unique blend of different sources of African movement from the different cultures of Africa, with a jazz twist added for a different feel and vibe. Students also learn a choreographed number for performance from Ordered Steps Dance Company Director Curtis Campbell.

Adult Tap: Beginner

This fun class is designed for students ages 16 and up who are ready to learn simple routines through a combination of traditional and Rad Tap techniques. Students will be tapping at the first lesson! Instructor: Susan Sixkiller.

Adult Tap: Intermediate

This is an ongoing intermediate level performance group that welcomes all intermediate students. The class performs at a variety of local civic events

(performing optional). Instructor Susan Sixkiller.

Middle Eastern Belly Dancing (Beginner)

Learn the basics of this fun and interesting form of dance. Bring towel or mat. Instructor, Mozelle.

Party Sampler Ballroom Dance

Learn the basics of ballroom and be a great dancer at any party! Two different rhythms taught in each series. All skill levels welcome. Instructed by Juan Parache.

Praise Dance

Students learn different techniques and methods of movement to develop the execution and overall performance level required to express a praise worship and/or liturgical dance. Students will also learn choreographed dance numbers with Ordered Steps Dance Company Director Curtis Campbell.

Round Dance

Couple dancing to choreographed routines, Round Dance is similar in rhythm and dance figures to ballroom dance, but led by verbal prompts (like square dance).  Students learn steps and cues in the basic class, then focus on each dance.

Salsa and Merengue

Instructor Juan Parache teaches this lively dance! Juan is nationally certified in American Ballroom and Rhythm Dancing. Please wear comfortable leather-soled dance shoes.

Swing Time
