Cheer Pom and Dance Team

By Central Valley Pom and Dance. This is a fun way for children to receive dance technique lessons and perform at Stockton sporting and community events. Participants will also compete at local Pom/Dance competition. Payment includes practice sessions and competition fees. Practice times are by age group. Practice attire: workout clothes and tennis shoes (no leotards or tights). Pom poms are provided during practice. Performance attire: cheer/dance uniforms are provided for performances and must be returned.

Tap for Tiny Tots

This class includes basic tap dancing and singing for three and four year-olds. The five-week sessions will end with a performance. Costumes will be provided; tap shoes are available at local store. Enrollment is limited to ten students; sign up early! Instructor: Susan Sixkiller.

Afro Jazz Dance

Students learn a unique blend of different sources of African movement from the different cultures of Africa, with a jazz twist added for a different feel and vibe. Students also learn a choreographed number for performance from Ordered Steps Dance Company Director Curtis Campbell.

Round Dance

Couple dancing to choreographed routines, Round Dance is similar in rhythm and dance figures to ballroom dance, but led by verbal prompts (like square dance).  Students learn steps and cues in the basic class, then focus on each dance.
