Parks & Recreation Community Centers

A variety of recreational programs are available for children, teens, adults and active seniors at four City of Stockton Community Centers.
Boy and llama meet at Seifert Center.McKinley, Seifert, Stribley and Van Buskirk Centers are staffed and programmed to address educational, recreational and health opportunities for residents in multicultural neighborhoods in metropolitan Stockton.

Of the four sites, three are city-owned facilities: McKinley, Stribley and Van Buskirk. The Seifert Community Center is owned by Stockton Unified School District and is open for recreational programming after being incorporated into the campus of Maxine Hong Kingston School.

Hours of Operation:
  •  Monday through Friday, 1 to 8 p.m.
  •  Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  •  Closed Sundays and holidays

Senior programs are offered Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Basketball, t-ball, and indoor soccer as well as crafts, games, special events, and contests provide an afternoon or evening of fun for children and families. Day camps offer positive experiences for children during annual school breaks.

Community center facilities have been developed to create a neighborhood meeting and recreation area, and to foster a source of pride in area residents.

Cooperative alliances with neighborhood associations, law enforcement, public service agencies, and various community organizations allow more services and educational programs.

We encourage you to let us know what your interests are, or if you would like to volunteer your time to make a difference in your community. Facilities are also available for rental.
