FREE MONEY TO ARTISTS and ARTS ORGANIZATIONS!
The Stockton Arts Commission announces its annual Grants Program for all Stockton-area creative people, including arts groups, individual artists, musicians, filmmakers, dancers, writers, art and music educators and collaborative groups.
This year, 60 percent of the grants are earmarked for programs or events aimed at youth.
The Grants Guidelines are available for downloading and printing www.stocktongov.com/arts (Please note: Grants Guidelines will no longer be printed for dissemination.)
Arts Commissioners are available on two days – Wednesday, March 3rd and Saturday, March 6th – to help those interested in grants applications to learn the grants process. The Commission no longer has staff available to nurture artists through this process. These two days are the only times these assistance workshops will be offered. If you think you will need help filling out your grant, please plan to attend.
Bring your printed Grants Guidelines packet to the Cesar Chavez (main) Library’s Stewart Hazelton Room, just inside the main doors:
» Wednesday, March 3rd, from 5 to 7 p.m.
» Saturday, March 6th, from 1 to 3 p.m.
** Grants applications must be filled out completely and thoroughly in order to be considered.
Applications must be submitted in person or by mail to the City of Stockton’s Community Services Office, 6 Lindsay Street, 95202 (south of City Hall).
The deadline for grants submissions is Friday, April 16th, 2010.
