Cultural Heritage Board Accepting Captain Weber Award Nominations
(Stockton, CA) – The City of Stockton Cultural Heritage Board is currently accepting nominations for The Captain Charles M. Weber Award. The deadline for nominations is 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2008. Nominations submitted by the deadline will be screened by a committee and presented to the full Cultural Heritage Board at the June meeting for selection of a recipient. Presentation of the Award will be held at the Board’s annual dinner.
This Award recognizes those who have authored or edited work that enhances our understanding of those values that define Stockton’s past history and have demonstrated a positive commitment to our community in an exemplary manner, and those individuals, organizations, or businesses that have done extraordinary volunteer work in celebrating our community’s past or furthered the understanding of our collective heritage.
