WINE AND MUSIC AT PIXIE WOODS

The Pixie Woods Board of Directors invites you to join friends at Stockton’s enchanted forest for the 23rd Annual Summer Sunset Wine Tasting at Pixie Woods, Friday June 20 from 5 to 8 p.m.  Stroll along magical pathways that will lead you to over 30 top of the line Napa Sonoma & Carneros region wineries presenting their award-winning Chardonnays, Cabernets, Merlots and other fine wines at tasting stations spread throughout this beautiful park.  Savor old favorites from well-known larger wineries, or discover new releases from up-and-coming quality boutique wineries.  This wine tasting is the premier tasting of the Central Valley; a not-to-be missed event with vintners from California's most famous wine regions. Taste superb wines, sample scrumptious hors d'oeuvres, and be entertained by four different musical groups at different locations within the woods.

At least eight local restaurants will offer their fine specialty foods at no additional charge: Angelina’s Spaghetti House, Dante’s California Style Pizza and Cafe, Garlic Brothers Restaurant, On Lock Sam, Santiago Cocina Mexicana, Starbuck’s Coffee, Taste of Brittany and The Old Spaghetti Factory, as well as Trader Joe’s.  A silent auction features an outstanding array of fabulous gift items, from golf packages to beautifully created baskets full of great items and magnificent magnums of fine wine from participating wineries.

The Summer Sunset Wine Tasting is sponsored by the Pixie Woods Board of Directors. All of the proceeds from this event are used for the continued improvements and addition of new features at Pixie Woods Children’s Park.  Hundreds of wine tasters can attest to the success of this benefit that has sold out virtually every year.  Admission of $40 includes wine, hors d’oeuvres and a commemorative wine glass.  Tickets are available at Fine Wines, Eddie’s Liquors, Wine Styles, Wine Wizard’s, and the Stockton Parks & Recreation Department or on-line at the www.estockton.com box office.

Participating Napa and Sonoma valley wineries include Acacia Winery, Agajanian Vineyards, Arger-Martucci Vineyards, Beaulieu Vineyards, Bell Wine Cellars, Bogle Vineyards, Calistoga Cellars, Conn Creek/Villa Mt. Eden Wineries, Domaine Chandon, Grgich Hills Estate, Gustavo Thrace Winery, Keenan Winery, Moon Mountain Vineyards, Pellegrini Family Vineyards, Raymond Vineyard & Cellar, Rodney Strong Vineyards, Rosenblum Cellars, Rutherford Ranch Vineyards & Winery, St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, Schug Carneros Estate Winery, Seghesio Family Vineyards, Silver Oak Cellars, Thomas Halby, Twomey Cellars, Valley of the Moon Winery, and Varozza Vineyards.
