Focus on nature with May Planting activities at Pixie Woods
Children will learn about nature, fresh air and composting at a May Planting event at Pixie Woods Saturday, May 24.
Participants will plant ground covering plants that promote fresh air through photosynthesis and learn about things in our everyday garbage that are good for the soil during project demonstrations from 3 to 4 p.m. Also on May 24, guest demonstrations from Young Rembrandts about teaching youth to draw will be featured in the children’s playland at 1 and 3 p.m.
Throughout the day, Pixie Woods visitors can enjoy a variety of play areas, including the Jr. Firefighter’s play area and fire truck, storybook slides and water fun under the Sea Serpent spray and more.
