The City of Stockton Stormwater Management Program works with
local industries to prevent stormwater pollution. This is achieved
through the following actions:
Inspections of industrial sites.
Record review of SWPPS, annual reports, conditions of
acceptance.
Wet weather sampling: during storms, collect stormwater and flow
data.
Dry weather sampling: sampling 20% of outfalls every year.
Complaint investigation: investigating property or areas where
complaints have been made.
The City of
Stockton has contracted with WGR Southwest, Inc and Condor Earth
Technologies to conduct Stormwater Pollution Prevention
Evaluations of commercial and industrial sites within the City
of Stockton. The purpose of the inspection is only to help
local businesses become better aware of what can be done to
reduce or eliminate stormwater pollution prevention. Inspections will be billed at $306.04 per inspection needed to bring the site into compliance. Inspectors
will contact each site prior to the visit to arrange a
convenient date and time to visit. Check out the Evaluation
Checklist for the types of Best Management Practices the
inspectors will be addressing during the inspections.
