Homes in Midtown Stockton - North California Street

1123 and 1125 N. California Street
This two-story Queen Anne style apartment is located at 1123 and 1125 N. California Street. It has a high gabled roof with box eaves, fish scale shingles, and flush board siding. Wooden steps and rails lead to the porch, and ornamentation adds to its unique style.

Stucco on California Street
This two-story stucco clearly defines the Early Spanish Colonial Revival style, retaining the form of an airplane bungalow. Worth a second glance are the Spanish tile ridge hip roof, overhanging eaves with exposed rafters, and a full porch stuccoed with elephantine piers. A decorative stuccoed chimney punctuates this divine piece of historic architecture.

925 N. California Street
This wood frame residence is an excellent example of the combined aesthetics of the late Victorian and Colonial Revival periods of the early 1900's. It has a pyramidal hip roof with an extended front gable, and wide overhanging eaves with exposed decorative rafters. The corner porch is supported by classically detailed columns and grooved piers.

931 and 937 N. California Street
The triplex is constructed in a Period Revival style with a Classic emphasis, which gained popularity in 1920's California. Notable features include a truncated hip roof with extremely narrow boxed eaves, and a classically detailed entry porch with a center pediment and tall supporting columns. These elements give the structure an almost Baroque feel.
