Mayor's Hike and Bike

Mayor's Hike and Bike LogoThe first Mayor's Hike and Bike will benefit the nutrition programs of Catholic Charities, the Emergency Food Bank and the Gospel Center Rescue Mission.

When: Saturday, May 23, 2009
Where: Stockton Ballpark, 404 W. Fremont St

Time: 8:45 a.m.

Family hiking and biking fun in our All America City! Three choices of routes for hikers and two for cyclists. Bring the entire family for a fun event and tour of our city.



Hiking/Walking Routes: Two options; the shorter, 1.6 mile walking route takes walkers into historic downtown Stockton, past/through the Bob Hope Theater, the Regal City Center Cineplex and Hotel Stockton and other downtown historic sites. Longer walking options include a 4.6 mile and a 6.9 mile routes that trek north to California State Stockton campus, St. Joseph's Regional Health Center, the Miracle Mile and out to the Haggin Museum, then return to the Stockton Ballpark.

Biking Routes: Two biking routes; the shorter, 9.5 mile route follows the longer walking route, and from the Miracle Mile, then runs north to the University of Pacific campus, then over to the Haggin Museum/Victory Park and back to the Stockton Ballpark. The longer biking route, the Calaveras River Tour, is a 18.5 mile route that takes bikers through the University of the Pacific campus for refreshments, then west onto scenic Calaveras Bike Trail, out to Brookside and onto Buckley Cove/San Joaquin River (for music, snacks and refreshments) then over to the Haggin Museum/Victory Park and back to the Stockton Ballpark.

Registration Information

Early Registration will be $20. Late registration will be $25 and $30 at the event. Registration for kids ages 12 and under: early registration for kids is $15, late registration will be $20.
