Traffic Volume

The City of Stockton Public Works Traffic Engineering Division conducts a city-wide Average Daily Traffic (ADT) volume count every two years (if funds are available).

The Public Works Department also obtains various counts such as pedestrian counts, turning movement counts at intersections, peak hour vehicle counts, vehicle classification counts, and uses this data to plan changes and improvements.  From this data, a Traffic Volume Flow Map is developed.
