The services listed below are included in your monthly residential waste collection service charge. No additional payment is required for services provided via the curbside collection system.
Residents receive twelve (12) Extra Service stickers per year to use for free pick up of extra garbage, recycling or green waste when needed. These can be used any time you have an occasion that generates extra waste. Once the twelve Extra Service stickers have been used, additional service is still available at a nominal cost.
Extra Service stickers are mailed directly to the service address each May. The new set of stickers may be used from June of that year through May of the following year.
Residents have one opportunity each year to dispose of unwanted solid waste and recyclable items free of charge during the neighborhood clean-up program entitled "Stockton Clean Sweep".

Your service provider will collect used motor oil and filters during weekly curbside collection. Special handling is required. Unwanted used motor oil must be in a clear plastic jug with the screw on lid taped in place. Unwanted used oil filters must be drained and sealed in clear plastic bags. Once properly prepared, these items may be placed on the ground and next to your recycle cart for collection on your regular service day. Your service provider will properly dispose of both the motor oil and filters.
Residents may also dispose of used oil and oil filters at San Joaquin County's Household Hazardous Waste Facility. To learn more about this facility, visit the Household Hazardous Waste web page.
Residents can safely and easily dispose of used household batteries (AAA, AA, C and D) via their curbside waste collection system. Special handling is required. Batteries must be sealed in clear plastic bags and placed on the ground outside and next to the recycling cart on your regular service day. Smaller quantities of bagged batteries may be placed on top of the recycling cart to ensure their collection.

Residential areas will be swept every other week the day immediately following your waste collection day. Sweeping will occur between the hours of 4 a.m. and 5 p.m. Vehicles parked on the street, low-hanging branches or other impediments prohibit sweepers from cleaning streets and gutters. To ensure streets are properly swept, residents are encouraged to remove vehicles and any other obstacles from the streets on sweeping days.
During Leaf Season, October 1 to December 31 only, your service provider will collect up to five (5) bags of extra leaves per week at no additional charge. To learn more, visit the Seasonal Leaf Collection web page.
Between December 26 and January 15 annually, residents may place their Christmas tree next to their cart(s) for collection. Your service provider will remove the Christmas tree and see that it is properly recycled. Please note: All tinsel, metal ornaments and metal stands must be removed from the trees. If your tree is longer than six feet, it must be cut in half to be collected.
