Peacekeepers Youth Outreach Workers are street-wise young men and women. The Outreach Workers are trained in conflict resolution, mediation, community organizing, mentoring, and case management. They work in neighborhood settings wherever young people at risk of violence are found, including schools, parks, street corners, and apartment complexes.
Peacekeepers build the bridge between the youth and their families with a collaboration of government and community based organizations to accomplish the mission and vision.
The Peacekeepers report to the Stockton City Manager's office and a close working relationship with the Stockton Police Department has been established and maintained since the inception of the program.
