Peacekeepers Youth Outreach Workers are street-wise young men and women. The Outreach Workers are trained in conflict resolution, mediation, community organizing, mentoring, and case management. They work in neighborhood settings wherever young people at risk of violence are found, including schools, parks, street corners, and apartment complexes.
Peacekeepers build the bridge between the youth and their families with a collaboration of government and community based organizations to accomplish the mission and vision.
The Peacekeepers are part of the Office of Violence Prevention in the City Manager's Office. For additional information, please visit the Office of Violence Prevention, Operation Peacekeeper webpage.
