Annual open enrollment occurs in May. Employees may change health plan elections during the open enrollment period. Employees can make changes outside of the open enrollment period under a Qualifying Life Event (QLE) within 60 days of change. QLEs include, but are not limited to:
Employees can process QLEs directly in the City's enrollment platform using the Navigate Enrollment Platform listed in External Links below. In addition, please forward the following applicable supporting documentation to the Benefits Division. Documentation may include birth certificate, marriage certificate, or Registered Domestic Partnership certificate.
