Community Services Department 

The City of Stockton Community Services Department is a nationally accredited agency through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). The Department provides the community with a variety of life-enriching programs, classes, and events, which are held at neighborhood and community parks, event facilities, golf courses, tennis center, aquatic facilities and recreation centers.

Featured Programs

Junior Giants

The San Francisco Giants and Stockton Community Services Department present a fun, free summer recreational baseball league 2012 Junior Giants Baseball for boys and girls ages 6-13 only.  League play begins on June 15, 2012. 

Youth Summer Basketball

Registration will be taken now through May 19, 2012.  Submit your Summer Basketball Flyer by mail or in person at one of our community centers or at the Cesar Chavez Central Library, 2nd floor in the Administration office. 

Adult Sports

The Community Services Department offers an Adult Sports Program to provide recreation and physical activity opportunities for citizens.   Leagues being offered in the coming year include: Softball, Basketball and Women's Volleyball.  View Adult Sports Calendar for sign up information and league details. 

Summer Day Camp

Camps are designed to provide children ages 5-12 an enriching environment of fun and learning through daily activities while meeting new friends, enjoying action-packed games and making dynamic crafts.  Summer Day Camp hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Table Tennis

Open to all ages and levels at Arnold Rue Community Center or Van Buskirk Community Center; view Table Tennis flyers for details.
