Water, Sewer, and Stormwater
The City of Stockton utility service rates are reviewed and approved annually by the City Council and are based on the budgeted costs to run the system and the number of existing connections. Current rates are available in the City of Stockton Fee Schedule.
Garbage Collection Services
Garbage services are billed based on the size of your garbage bin, recycling and green waste services are included with the garbage service. The City of Stockton contract with the garbage companies requires an annual rate adjustment equal to 50% of the change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the previous one year to be effective June 1st of each year. Current garbage collection rates are available at the Garbage and Recycling page.
Discounts are available for garbage collection services only. In order to qualify, your residence must be within City limits and the bill must be in the name of the qualifying customer.
Discounts for Seniors
If you are a senior - 65 years of age or older, please contact the Utility Billing Customer Service. You will be asked to provide a copy of your driver's license to receive a 10% discount. You may fax a copy of your driver's license to the Utility Billing office. Please see our Contact Us page for our fax number.
Discounts for Seniors Below Median Income
Seniors 65 and older and below median income of $35,483 annually per household may be eligible for an additional 10% discount. Please download an application and follow the instructions on the form or you may call Utility Billing Customer Service to have an application mailed to you.
Discounts for Disabled Persons Below Median Income
Residents who are permanently disabled and below median income of $35,483 annually per household may be eligible for a 10% discount. Please download an application and follow the instructions on the form or you may call Utility Billing Customer Service to have an application mailed to you.
