presented by
Tree Lighting Ceremony and
Annual Delta Reflections Lighted Boat Parade
December 1, 2007
5-7 p.m.
(gates open at 4 p.m.)
Weber Point Event Center, Downtown Stockton
This annual "kick off" to the holiday season is always
a great evening for spectators of all ages, so head downtown and be a
part of this wonderful family event. Festival of Lights takes
place, rain or shine, so bundle up!
Official Tree Lighting
Mayor Edward Chavez and friends will light the city's official
Holiday Tree. The beautiful holiday landmark is
powered by thousands of energy-efficient LED lights provided by PG&E.
Santa Claus will arrive on a fire truck to visit with families and children,
then head for the waterfront to see the bright spirit of the 28th annual
Delta Reflections Lighted Boat Parade make its turnaround at McLeod Lake
between Weber Point and the Stockton Arena. Make it an evening with some
hot chocolate and skating at the Ice on the Delta rink across the street at DeCarli Waterfront Square..
Delta Reflections Lighted
Boat Parade
Lighted Boat Parade usually forms at Light 36 in the Stockton San Joaquin
Delta. The parade generally commences at 5 p.m. at Light 39, reaching
Weber Point at approximately 6 p.m. The Parade will enter McLeod
Lake, ending at Light 39 at Buckley Cove. Anyone interested in sponsoring an
award for this event, contact event chairman Lynn
Hahn, (209) 477-7653.
Don't
miss Ice on the Delta!
Many families attend the Festival of Lights as part of
their family holiday tradition. This year, once again, families will enjoy Ice
on the Delta at Dean DeCarli Waterfront Square as part of their
evening festivities. |
