Delta Grandeur Photo Exhibition at SJ County Historical Museum

A new exhibition, “Delta Grandeur: The Bucolic Splendor of California’s Inland Estuary,” premieres May 15 at the San Joaquin County Historical Museum in Micke Grove Regional Park.

The photography exhibition reflects the vision of local photographer Rich Turner and celebrates the beauty and diversity of the threatened Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.

With vibrant imagery, the exhibition explores the complex relationship that humans and wildlife have forged in the Delta.

The “Delta Grandeur” exhibition will be at the Historical Museum through August 9, 2015, and can be viewed Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. After its stay in Micke Grove Park, the exhibition will travel to museums throughout California, toured by the nonprofit organization, Exhibit Envoy.

Senior Awareness Day

Its a Beach Party at Senior Awareness Day 2015!

Join us from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. at this annual information fair for Seniors, Caregivers, and Families.

With May as Older Americans Month, San Joaquin County is proud to invite everyone for a celebration. We welcome family members, caregivers, and seniors to explore over 150 information booths.

- Stroll through the Senior Art show and Classic Cars

- Learn about valuable community resources that support seniors, their caregivers, and families.

- Join in Wellness walk through Micke Grove’s old oaks and newly landscaped lake area.

- Bingo with prizes.

- Free health screenings, Medicare information and more.

San Joaquin Regional Transit District RTD will provide free shuttle service to the event from 8AM-noon. Shuttle buses leave every half hour from northbound Claremont.
