Equal Employment Commission

Meeting Day and Time:
First Wednesday of each quarter at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall.

Legal Authority:
Commission established by City Council Resolution No. 37,416 - June 30, 1980; amended by Resolution No. 97-0393, adopted 10-07-97 (replacing Resolution No. 95-173)

To coincide with Civil Service Commission terms (three years)
Membership:
Five (5)
Residency Requirements:
Must be a resident and an elector of the City of Stockton
Remuneration:
$25 per meeting
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a current member of the Civil Service Commission
Function of the Commission:
The Equal Employment Commission is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Equal Employment Plan and advising the City Council of the City's progress in this area. The Commission will:
  1. Review the Equal Employment Plan, and recommend revisions or additions to the City Council as necessary.
  2. Monitor the City's employment pattern by reviewing personnel related data.
  3. Hold quarterly Equal Employment Commission meetings and perform other related duties and function.
  4. Present an annual status report to the City Council on the City's progress regarding implementation of the Equal Employment Plan.
