Appointing Authority:City Council based on recommendations made by the Nominating Committee
Term of Office:Membership:19 to 28 members:
-1 Commissioner from 8 area high schools; -5 at-large from youth organizations; -3 students who will be seniors next committee term; -3 to serve 1-year appointments junior/senior: Odd year-1 each from McKinley, Seifert and Seirra Vista Community Centers; Even year-1 each from a North Stockton Community organization, Stribley and Van Buskirk Community Centers; -6 one year terms, appointed by councilmembers for each Council District, odd years District 1, 3, 5, even years District 2, 4, and 6 Meeting Date/Location:1st Thursday of the month at 6:00 P.M. Residency Requirements:Any resident within the City of Stockton who is in high school during the next committee term following his or her appointment shall be eligible for membership.
