Function:

To encourage, promote and sponsor projects and programs that further the growth and public awareness of the visual, performing and literary arts in Stockton; to offer organizational and promotional assistance to artists and art organizations; and to advise the City Council on the artistic and cultural development of the City.

Minimum Qualifications:

Members shall be selected from among applicants who (outside of professional practice) are active in arts and cultural activities and who demonstrate interest or accomplishments in fund-raising and in one or more of the following art disciplines: Music; Dance; Theater; Cinema; Photography; Architecture; Art Criticism; Textile Arts; Literary Arts; and the Visual Arts; including (but not limited to) the Public or Environmental Arts; Graphic Arts, Design, Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramics, and Art History.
