San Joaquin County Mosquito And Vector Control District
Function:
Legal Authority:Board created pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Section 2240
Appointing Authority:One appointment by each of seven (7) City Councils in San Joaquin County and four (4) appointments by the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors
Term of Office:A term of two (2) or four (4) years, at the discretion of the City of Stockton as appointing authority.
Membership:Eleven (11)
Meeting Date/Location:Third Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. Residency Requirements:Each person appointed by a city council to be a member of the board of trustees shall be a voter and resident of that city (Health and Safety Code 2022 (b)).
Remuneration:The board of trustees provides for the allowance and payment to each trustee a sum of one hundred dollars ($100) per month for expenses incurred while on official business (Health and Safety Code 2030 (b)).
