Redevelopment Commission/Relocation Appeals Board

Note: This Board is included in the City of Stockton's Conflict of Interest Code and members are required to disclose economic interests held within the jurisdiction of the Board/Commission, by completing a Statement of Economic Interests Form 700 when appointed, as required by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) and the City of Stockton.

Financial interests are reportable only if located within or subject to the jurisdiction of the City of Stockton or if the business entity is doing business or planning to do business in the jurisdiction or has done business within the jurisdiction at any time during the two years prior to filing the statement.

Function:

  • The Commission serves as an advisory body to the Redevelopment Agency and makes recommendations on urban renewal and redevelopment project areas and contemplated actions for necessary improvements.
  • Effectuation of said plans requires the recommendations to the Redevelopment Agency on a physical plan for each project area; selection of the purchasers and developers and review and approval of their plans for construction; review and recommendations of contracts for services, site improvements, construction and property appraisals.

Commission established pursuant to California Health and Safety Code, Part I, Division 24 (Community Redevelopment Law); and by Stockton Municipal Code Section 17-001
