Cultural Heritage Board

Meeting Day and Time:
First Wednesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 425 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton
Function of the Board:
Link to Board Members
To promote and preserve the community's historical/architectural/aesthetic and cultural resources, identify sites and districts with historical significance, promote the Award of Excellence Program, Charles Weber Award, and Glenn Allen Award. Conduct surveys and inspections to accomplish these objectives, advise City officials and other bodies in such areas, and generally encourage and sponsor events of a cultural nature.

Must be a resident of the City of Stockton

Minimum Qualifications:
Members should be knowledgeable about historic and cultural traditions of the community; have a background in preservation/ architecture/construction technology. A broad-based, balanced representation is sought: one (1) having extensive real estate experience; one (1) having extensive experience in the construction industry; one (1) California licensed architect; one (1) historian; one (1) City of Stockton resident of over forty (40) years; and four (4) at large members.
