Candidates and elected officials for municipal office are subject to the provisions of the Political Reform Act (PRA) (Government Code § 81000 - 91015).
The PRA requires elected officials and candidates for elected office to publicly disclose campaign contributions, expenditures, and financial interests.
As the regulatory and enforcement agency, the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) has the primary responsibility for interpretation and administration of the PRA. Regulations adopted by the FPPC for the purpose of administering the Act are contained in the California Code of Regulations (Title 2, Division 6, Sections 18109 - 18995).
Manuals and forms prepared by the FPPC to assist candidates, officials and committees in meeting their reporting obligations are available at the office of the City Clerk. The FPPC web site also includes forms and additional important information.
Mayor & City Council Statements:
Campaign disclosure statements and statements of economic interests are filed with the City Clerk. Copies may be obtained at a charge of 10 cents a page.
