Stockton Arts Commission seeks award nominations

The Stockton Arts Commission is seeking nominations for the 2008 Arts Awards.  Deadline for nominations is June 2, 2008.  Recipients will be honored at a celebration at the Bob Hope Theatre on October 17, 2008. 

Categories include the STAR Award (Stockton’s Top Arts Recognition), the Patron Award, the Volunteer Award and the Career Achievement Award.

The Stockton Arts Commission

(founded in 1976) is the first and most active arts promotion agency in San Joaquin County. An advocating body for the arts, the commission offers arts opportunities and programs, and administers a $1.3 million City Endowment for the Arts benefiting area artists and arts organizations.
